AI-KU (AI Kural) — a play on Haiku — explores how artificial intelligence might learn from one of humanity's oldest frameworks of ethics and wisdom: the Thirukkural.

Motivation #

By combining natural-language processing, semantic embeddings, and cross-lingual modeling, the project translates 2,000-year-old Tamil couplets into a modern computational context. Each verse becomes a vector, allowing machines to learn from patterns of virtue, ethics, and human reasoning.

The goal is not automation, but augmentation — helping AI systems reflect on the same timeless wisdom that continues to shape human understanding.

Where Tamil wisdom meets machine intelligence.
